The plan is to create an exercise library of sorts, featuring weightlifting techniques and information, Tai Chi and Kung Fu tutorials, clips of me just messing around, and more. So my YouTube Channel should grow slowly over time. I currently have three videos online. The first was from October last year, and features myself and fellow Personal Trainer Jess breaking wooden boards with our hands. A bit of a Kung Fu display.
The second is a week or so old, and contains no cues or instructions, it’s just me demonstrating a bunch of deadlifts and squats. And the third, just uploaded, outlines the basic principles of the Hold Post Exercise, one of the most fundamental techniques of Tai Chi practice. I have noticed on YouTube, exercise tutorials about weightlifting or strength training are too often sexualised, or there’s an agenda that doesn’t sit quite right with me, or they’re not quite focusing on the aspects of an exercise that I wish to emphasise. On the other hand, if I browse through clips of people doing deadlifts or whatever that I might wish to link to, there are many cases of an individual who might wish to record their training for the simple pleasure of being able to share their achievements with their friends, but I think it’s safe to assume they aren’t looking to be featured as a reference point on some stranger’s blog. So it’s about time I made my own clips, which can feature only what I plan to feature. I hope you find them stimulating or useful in some way. The three clips that currently exist, I already provided links to above, and if you wish to view my channel itself, you can do so here.
